In Dragon Warrior III (also known as Dragon Quest III), a hero, son or daughter of the legendary Ortega, must travel the world, gathering companions and items, to defeat the Archfiend Baramos and eventually the deeper threat, Zoma, who rules the Dark World below, in order to restore light.
